RIT Equestrian Team
Logo, Business Cards, Tri-fold Brochure
Concept through production, including original photography and copy writing
About the Project
This project was completed for the Equestrian Team/Club of Rochester Institute of Technology. The group encompasses a variety of ways that students can interact with horses, including taking lessons, competing in IHSA shows, social events, and volunteer opportunities. The group encompasses a number of disciplines including both English and Western styles.
The identity set stems from a blend of the group’s primary function (interacting with horses) with the school’s industry (RIT’s mascot is the tiger). It was important that the logo was relatable to all members of the group, regardless of what capacity they were involved, and so it must steer clear of any affiliation with a specific discipline.
Beyond the basic logo, the set was expanded to include a set of contact cards, featuring a series of several original photos from actual group events. In addition to the basic contact cards, a more comprehensive brochure was also developed, which details the four primary aspects of the group (volunteer, social, leisure, and competition) and provides information for potential new members and sponsors. The brochure is designed in an adapted tri-fold format, allowing tabs for each section to be seen when the piece is folded closed for quick access to desired information.
